What It Iz, What It Iz.. Come Check The Noise

In November of 2007.. Sounds so distant, but actually wasn't too long ago. I tried for two days to get my hands on a pair of sold-out tickets to the Cool Kids & M.I.A. show @ First Avenue.. I was lucky enough to get em for the retail price by some awkward old hipster a couple of hours before the show.. Me, being the self-conscious dude I am, tend to not want to roll many places with out girls to accompany me.. I made the wrong decision in inviting some guppies who ended up getting so wasted that we showed up late and missed out on a performance by my 3rd favorite rap duo, The Cool Kids (1. Outkast, 2. The Clipse).. Once again in February, I was faced with a predicament of either catching the Cool Kids @ the YoYo in London or travel to every white American person's dream land destination of Dublin.. I chose Dublin..

I was lucky enough to finally catch The Cool Kids last night at the Trypotique Social Club in Paris. They also had The Carps open for them which was really dope, we came super early for the show and ended up walking in on their soundcheck.. They were real cool about it and talked to me for a lil while when my friends ran... We were homies the rest of the night.. With two hours to kill I took a trip to the local liquor store to pick up some party juice, but instead I accidentally got a bottle of candycane/christmas juice in the form of Mint Vodka.. NOT FUN!!

The show was so ill.. They had two super dope electronic bands open for them.. Everyone back home laughs at me when I try to bump some electronic/techno cuz they're not up on it yet, but over here everyone loves that shit.. So it was a non-stop party for like two hours.. French kids party way harder and better than Americans.. If only I could bring that type of energy back home, fuck crunk..
